Super Swimmers Super News

Welcome to Super Swimmers 1st Newsletter!

We may not be able to see all our swimmers at the pool during this time but we would still like to keep in contact, therefore we have designed our super swimmer’s newsletter. We will regularly update our newsletter with new fun facts and activities for our swimmers and their families. If you choose to get involved please don’t forget to share your pictures or videos with us via our Facebook page.

Covid- 19 Update

Firstly, I’d like to say a big thank you to all our super swimmer parents/guardians for your continued support through the previous and current Covid-19 restrictions. The current Government guidance means our pools will remain shut until 2nd December as a minimum but we hope to see you all soon. It is with sadness I have to announce that if we return to the pools in December it will NOT include our lessons ran at Hamworthy. We hope to be back up and running at Hamworthy in the new year.

As the weeks go on some of our super teachers and staff will have some fun tasks for our swimmers so keep an eye out on the Facebook page and website.

Stay Safe and we will see you all soon!

Super Star Challenge

Covid-19 has stopped us swimming but it doesn’t stop us having lots of fun whilst were away from the pool. This week we would love to see some of our swimmers practicing their star shapes and share with us via our Facebook page. Let’s be creative, imaginative and have FUN! To give you some inspiration here are some of the super swimmer teachers and little helpers showing their stars.

Stroke of the Week

Front Crawl

Now there is lots of fun activities we can do at home without our pools so let's get started!  For the first activity we want to see  our swimmers practising their Bubbles. If you take part please don't forget to share your photos and videos on our Facebook page.

This weeks activity is Breathing.

Let's start with Bubble Practise!

Whether you’re a big swimmer or a small swimmer we all love bubbles. All you need is a straw and a cup of water for this one. Let’s see who can blow small, big, quiet and loud bubbles through the straws in the cup of water. Here's a photo to show you.------------------------------------>

Keep an eye out for our teachers showing us some more fun activities on our facebook page!
